UAD3+ - High-End Trace and Multi-Target Debugging

The UAD3+ (Universal Access Device 3+) is the high-end trace and multi-target device in PLS's Universal Access Device family. It complements the UDE® Universal Debug Engine with powerful, flexible and robust communication to all supported 32-bit and 64-bit microcontrollers and embedded processors.

Combined with the proven debug adapter series from the Universal Access Device family, the 3+ enables access to the target device via a wide range of debug interfaces and offers state-of-the-art, future-proof debugging and programming capabilities, even for the latest multicore SoCs.

The UAD3+ can be expanded with optional high-speed Trace Pods, which support the various trace interfaces of supported devices. With 4 or 8 Gbyte of trace memory, the UAD3+ is the perfect choice for high-end, trace-based debugging, testing, and system-level analysis.

Up to eight target devices can be connected in parallel by the UAD3+, thus enabling it to be utilized for multi-target debugging or parallel Flash programming.

The UAD3+ is optimized for high-speed debug communication between the UDE® running on your PC and the target system.

  • Target specific debug adapters ensure flexible and reliable target access
  • 8 debug interfaces enable parallel debugging of multiple target systems and parallel flash programming
  • High-speed debug access with up to 160 MHz shift clock
  • I/O voltage 1.65V – 5.5V
  • Galvanically isolated debug adapters (RF coupler technology) with 1,000 VRMS isolation available
  • Separate debug pods: Connection to the base unit via serial Gigabit cables (0.5 m, 1 m – default, 2 m, 3 m, and 5 m), which can bridge a distance of up to 5 meters
  • DAP, MiniDAP, SWD, JTAG, cJTAG, OnCE, H-UDI
  • USB 2.0 for connecting UAD2next to the PC
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Supported operating systems: Windows® 10 64-bit or Windows®11 64-bit
